Graduating from university can be both exciting and confusing. While you’re celebrating important accomplishments, you’re also confronting the new challenge of finding a job and joining the workforce.

This one-day workshop is designed for graduating students who are looking to gain more clarity and confidence on how to land a job and start their careers.

We will lead you through discussions and activities to help you understand the transition process from university to work focusing on the importance of researching new opportunities and networking with employers. You will also hear from a panel of employers who regularly hire new grads on how to make a good impression in the selection process and on the job.

Through this event participants will:
• Identify and learn how to communicate their key transferable skills
• Discover methods and resources to research potential career options
• Understand the hidden job market and effective job searching strategies
• Learn what employers look for in new hires
• Take part in presentations and participate in group activities
