A delegation from the Federal Institute for Geosciences and Natural Resources, Germany (BGR) is coming to Ottawa to ratify a major research agreement with the Geological Survey of Canada. This collaboration will address the Arctic. The director of the BGR, Professor Hans-Joachim Kümpel, has kindly offered to give a talk in Earth Sciences at Carleton entitled "Geosciences for a Habitable Earth". I would like to extend a warm welcome to attend this interesting presentation.
