Alumni of the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences and the Faculty of Public Affairs are invited to attend a special edition of the Carleton University Art Gallery’s popular lecture series Double Major featuring alumni from both faculties, Janice McDonald and David Coletto.

Janice McDonald is an award-winning entrepreneur in the music industry and iStyle Originals, with products licensed around the world. Her new start-up is called www.thisspaceworks.com, which taps into excess capacity. McDonald is appointed to the Women’s Leadership Board at Harvard Kennedy School and in 2013 WXN named her one of Canada's Top 100 Most Powerful Women. Her upcoming book is called Niceland: The Redemption of Business into a Global Force for Good. She chairs the National Board of Women in Communications and Technology and International Women's Forum Ottawa Board. She is also an Advisor for the Centre for Research and Education on Women and Work at Carleton University’s Sprott School of Business. She received her designation from the Institute for Corporate Boards in 2014.

David Coletto is a founding partner and the CEO of Abacus Data, which delivers strategic advice and research design expertise to Canada’s leading corporations, advocacy groups, and political leaders. An outspoken proponent of transparency in the polling industry, Coletto is a frequent media commentator who provides expert analyses of public opinion and research methodologies. He is a regular columnist for The Hill Times and iPolitics. In 2013, Coletto was recognized as one of “Forty Under Forty in Ottawa” by the Ottawa Business Journal and Ottawa Chamber of Commerce.
