To celebrate CUAG’s 25th anniversary and Carleton University’s 75th anniversary, CUAG has commissioned Jesse Stewart to create a live performance series. These performances have been taking place inside Stewart’s portable geodesic dome at different sites on campus during 2017.
Music in Motion, Stewart’s fifth and final performance in the series, takes place on Monday 6 November, from 12 - 1 p.m., in the Unicentre Galleria.
This interactive performance will feature some movement-to-music technologies that Stewart has helped to develop. These technologies will monitor the movements of visitors to the dome, translating their movements into sound.
Jesse Stewart is a composer, musician, sound artist, community builder and Carleton University music professor. He is renowned for his inventive and inclusive performances on a wide variety of instruments.
