About this Event

Host Organization: Department of Sociology & Anthropology

There will be a Sociology-Anthropology colloquium event, “How do we talk about Trump?” this Thursday Feb 9 at 2:30 in Loeb A720.

The event is aimed at fostering collective discussion among the Carleton community about the rapidly unfolding political situation in the aftermath of the recent U.S. election. A number of faculty and students will be making brief (max 5 minutes) interventions addressing one or more of these three questions: What are the responsibilities of scholars in a Trump presidency? How can we meaningfully and effectively communicate and intervene in events in the aftermath of his election? What are some barriers to our effective intervention/communication, and how do we overcome them?
Everyone is welcome and encouraged to attend and participate.

If you have questions or would like to sign up to make an intervention, please e-mail aaron.doyle@carleton.ca. Food and drink provided.
