Come out and meet two of Chile's leading scholars in the area of Chilean-Indigenous relations.
Dr. Andrés Jouannet Valderrama (Alberto Hurtado University, Santiago) will be giving a presentation, "The Political Participation of Indigenous Peoples and their Electoral Behaviour."
Dr. José Marriman (Alberto Hurtado University, Santiago) is Director of the Indigenous Studies Diploma, and will be giving a presentation, "Solutions to the Mapuche Issue from the Perspective of Chilean Elites: The Case for an Indigenous Ministry, and Example of Late Indigenism."
Alfonso Silva Navarro, Chile's Ambassador to Canada, will be joining the discussion and introducing our guest presenters.
We welcome everyone to come and join what will be an interesting look into Chilean-Indigenous relations.
