This major international conference will feature leading scholars from across Canada and Europe who will reflect on developments over the last decade and potential areas of convergence or divergence between Europe and Canada in the face of current international and domestic issues. Topics will include: cooperation in dealing with international conflict; prospects for intensified trade and investment; and comparing Canadian and European responses to challenges such as environmental sustainability and climate change, migration and integration of immigrants, managing economic crisis, policies for inclusive growth and social inclusion, and issues of democratic legitimacy and governance.
