GUARANTEED TO SURPRISE
“Pretty well all of our first time visitors are blown away by what we have on the show floor” laughs Show Organizer Catherine Knoll. “We understand that ‘nearly new’ Designer handbags from Gucci, Prada, Fendi and Ferragamo , amazing contemporary Maritime carvings, retro hats and fine jewellery are not what you might expect at a typical ‘antiques show’ – but Ottawa’s largest antiquing event is far from your typical antiques show!” Knoll says the show has changed along with the changing tastes of shoppers. Attendees can now find nearly new, retro, vintage along with antiques. “This has opened up a huge array of wonderful inventory that attracts shoppers of all ages” says Knoll.
Things of special note at this show are:
Art Dealer Artophile will feature a “New-York-worthy” mini-exhibition and sale of works on paper by artist Sonia Delaunay, the first living woman ever to be honoured with a retrospective at the Louvre.
Contemporary carvings from Prince Edward Island carver Kerras Jeffery will be featured in the booth of Greenwood Ontario’s “Pollikers”.
Private collection of rock memorabilia including signed guitars, lithographs and gold records.
Niagara-on-the-Lake area vendor “Reflections of Tyme” will be participating for the very first time and bringing gorgeous garden décor items such as arbors, statuary, pedestals and seating.
Fashionista Patricia Thoun will be offering a wide selection of recently sourced Designer handbags from names such as Gucci, Prada, Fendi and Ferragamo.
