Host Organization: Office of the Dean of Science

On April 1st, 2015, Carleton will celebrate its strategic development in
Data Sciences (Big Data, Data Analytics, Social Sentiment Analytics, Business Analytics),
including its collaboration with IBM.

The event will be opened by Carleton University President Roseann Runte,
and will start with an announcement of a new initiative from the Dean of Science, Dr. Malcolm Butler.

The event will feature presentations by Carleton researchers from across all faculties and followed by a
panel discussion featuring key national players and moderated by Andrew Ross from Eclipse Foundation.

Student Poster Submission:

To showcase student research using Data Sciences a poster competition will be held in conjunction with Data Day. Posters will be adjudicated by a panel of external partners/judges. Gold, Silver, Bronze monetary prizes sponsored by IBM.

Poster submissions due on Thursday, March 26, 2015.
