Well-known economist Jim Stanford of Unifor will speak on “Economic Literacy Getting Past Supply and Demand” on March 9 at 7:30pm for the annual Dick, Ruth and Judy Bell Lecture. Stanford is an economist with Unifor, Canada’s largest private sector trade union. His work encompasses macroeconomics, the labour market, fiscal and trade policy analysis, collective bargaining and corporate research, union strategy and union education. He is the author of Economics for Everyone (first published in 2008), which has been translated into 6 languages. He is a columnist for the Globe and Mail.
